![]() ![]() ![]() The guns have flatter arcs than the Americans and have good range but I find them difficult to do the damage the American cruisers can with their AP. They aren't awful but definitely are frustrating to me because they seem to have weak armor and they handle terrible. I am a cruiser player and have all cruisers to t10 and the French cruisers ix and x were very disappointing to me. The French cruiser is only faster has a very situational rack of torpedoes and that's it. The Des Moines hits harder is more resilient and handles much better. IMHO The Des Moines is hands down the better cruiser in almost every aspect. I have the Des Moines and I just got the Henry IV. The Henri is easily one of my favorite ships in the game, but at this point I have to say the Des Moines has probably cemented the top spot. The Des Moines just wrecks absolutely everything, DDs, CA/CLs, BBs, CVs it doesn't matter. The Des Moines has so much more of an impact on the outcome of the battle, and it's a great feeling having more control. I've always loved french cruisers, but after getting the Des Moines I have to fully agree with you. HIV will light battleships on fire from extreme range. It's the most fragile of the T10 CA so you can't take a hit.ĭes Moines with ruin any key ships on the enemy team. ![]() Only BB are really a pain and even then only at range, no ship in the game can show broadside for 30 seconds and live. It hunts DDs and makes CVs cry, it crushes other cruisers with citadel's. It is hands down the strongest ship in the game under about 8-10km. That makes them easy to play, but it doesn't make them interesting.ĭes Moines on the other hand. They all play the same and play the same on every map. They're all long range fire spammers with ok AP. French cruisers are boring and don't have the same impact a Des Moines does. ![]()
